Buying items online may seem convenient, but it is not all the time that we will get a replica of what the description entails. A TikToker shared that she bought a wig on Temu and had not gotten exactly what she had ordered.
Similar to Shein or Takealot, Temu is an online marketplace selling an array of items from household products to clothing and electronic equipment. For the TikToker @sbongakonkedanisa, what she was searching for was a curly wig.
Taking to the app, the content creator shared that she wanted to purchase a 10-inch wig. However, when she had the wig, it was much shorter in length than anticipated.
In the video, a visibly disappointed @sbongakonkedanisa is heard saying, “10-inch? It’s giving four. Ja ne.”
@sbongakonkedanisa also warned others, to order from the online store at their own risk.

Many took to @sbongakonkedanisa’s comment section to share humourous similarities they found with the TikToker wearing the wig, sharing hilarious commentary.
One person commented, “It’s giving Angie Motshega [Minister of Basic Education of South Africa].”
Another person joked, “Check the box it came in. Maybe the rest of it is inside. You have to put it together like a puzzle.”
One person advised, “Yes it’s 10 inches, it looks shorter because of the curls. If you want it longer, order 16 inches like the one in the picture.”
Temu also commented on the video. Adding a laughing emoji at the beginning of their comment, the company stated the following: “Hi there! The products should have sizing specifications in their listing descriptions. If it’s not as described, feel free to seek a refund.”
