A mop is one of the home appliances that are highly used so it is normal for it to lose the whiteness, however, there are some ways to restore that whiteness.

Do a lemon juice mixture

The citric acid that the lemon juice contains will help the mop lose the stains and regain its original color. For use, cut a lemon in half and squeeze it into a sponge then rub unto the mop. Once the mop is clean, rinse and leave it to dry.
Create a baking soda paste
Baking soda is a mild abrasive that can be used to scrub tough stains of the mop, it is also safe and non-toxic, says the above-mentioned source. To use is, mix water and baking soda to create the paste, use a sponge to rub the paste to the mop. Scrub the mop gently until the stains are gone. Rinse and dry the mop.
Use hydrogen peroxide

It is also a disinfectant which means it will help with killing bacteria or mold that might be on the mop. For use, mix the hydrogen peroxide with water in a bucket, soak for 30 minutes. Rinse and dry the mop.

- Dip the mop in vinegar.
- Run the mop through a hot cycle in the washing machine using bleach.
- Place the mop directly to the sunlight for 4-6 hours.
- Allow the mop to completely dry before using it again.
