Close to the village of Makata and 20km away from Teyateyaneng is where you can find the Kome Caves. According to travel website Roxanne Reid these beautiful cave dwellings appear to be in the form of igloos rather than traditional huts. They are sculpted from mud and a vast rock overhang.

Maletsunyane Falls

Skiing and Snowboarding
Because of the high-altitude Lesotho experiences lots of snow. This allows for fun family activities where you can have a feel of Europe by going snowboarding or skiing in the white layers of ice. According to travel website Roxanne Reid, the north eastern highlands are usually the best place to experience this. Here you can enrol for some lessons and hire some equipment. The best time to do this is between June and August during the annual winter season.
