It’s that time of the year, where you visualise and manifest what you want to achieve for the year ahead.

Sometimes aligning pictures out of what you envision your life to be can get you to see what your goals are and what you need to work on in order to reach them. These days there are many ways of how you can do a vision board, some people cut up pictures and stick them on a board, however there are new innovative ways you can digitally do your vision board.

Former psychologist, Elizabeth Perry describe vision boards as something that will give you a clear indication about your life and a direction to where you want to go in several areas of your life. Elizabeth continues saying vision boards allow you to visualise your goals and how to achieve them.

Develop good habits advices on how you can easily make a vision board that can be effective:

Reflect on what you want to achieve

Write down the things you wish to accomplish, for example, new house, new car, to get a promotion or to open up a business. The point here is to be specific on the things you desire.

Find pictures that resemble your vision

Look through magazines, newspapers and cut the pictures of what you want and quotes that will help motivate you. However if you are doing a digital vision board, save pictures from the internet and find a template that will work for you.

Assemble your vision board

This is entirely up to you, put everything in the order of your short term goals and long term goals but make it visually appealing. To paste the pictures you can use something solid like cardboard.

Where and how you display

Everyday you want to remind yourself about what you’re working hard for, display your vision board where you can easily see it everyday. If you have a digital vision board, for example, make it your screensaver on your laptop or on your phone.

Even South African celebrities like Tv personality and Idols judge, Somizi Mhlongo has recently instagrammed a video telling his fans about the importance of having a vision board.
