Tossing and turning at night trying to sleep, has messed up many people’s days because they lack sleep.
Ever thought, why you don’t have enough energy to carry out your day or constantly yawning because you feel exhausted.
According to Mayo Clinic common causes of sleepless nights can be because of stress, concerns about work, school, health, finances or family can keep your mind active at night, making it difficult to sleep. Stressful life events or trauma — such as the death or illness of a loved one, divorce, or a job loss — also may lead to insomnia.
“Sleep difficulty may affect your physical and mental health. Lack of sleep may also cause you to have frequent headaches or trouble concentrating.” -says Dr Stacy Sampson, a family physician from Healthline
If you’re looking for ways of de-cluttering your mind and sleep peacefully, lets put an end to those racy thoughts and try these solutions that can help with your sleep deprivation:
Meditation before bed
I know you probably think, oh, this doesn’t work but, all you have to do is close your eyes, take a few breath, focus on your breathing and command peace by doing this for at least 10 -20 minutes.
Bedtime routine
Try reading a book or listening to a podcast before you sleep, so that your mind can train it self and on brain cues.
Invoke positive thoughts and affirmations
A constant reminder that tomorrow will be another day to try again, should motivate you to get a good night rest.
A bed time chatter
If you don’t have a significant other next to you, find someone you can talk to about the day, vent and talk through your troubles with.
Keeping with physical exercise
A good evening jog can take your mind of things and you can keep fit while doing it.
