A TikTok video left internet users emotional after a creator shared that her 8-month pregnant landlady has to travel 14km to the nearest clinic.
TikTok creator @mercynqandeka posted a video of her landlady travelling to a day clinic for a check-up causing many internet users to be sympathetic over the pregnant lady. In the video, the creator documents her journey from her house to the clinic which is about 14km.
The journey to the clinic starts early morning where the lady has to ride a boat to take her to the other side of the river. She then continues after the journey on the rough paths as it makes it to the clinic and back again.
Many internet users were emotional given that the lady was heavily pregnant and they stressed about what would happen if she were to go into labour.

One user commented: “Imani guys!! What happens when she’s in labour?”
Another user was frustrated that people in South Africa still live like this in 2024.
Another user commented: “I am stressed on her behalf. Imagine when she’s in labour worse when she comes back with her little one.”
One user alluded that the lady voted for the national party in charge, adding that, the Eastern Cape premiere said that it will take them 50 years to build a bridge.
