What started with a woman experiencing an irregular period for a few months after taking a new birth control ended in a man being disgusted by the sight of period blood-stained underwear.
A 21-year-old woman anonymously shared her experience with a guy she was seeing on the social media platform Reddit.
Due to her starting the new birth control, at least one-third of the woman’s underwear is stained from the irregular blood flow. “It’s faint, but it’s still fairly noticeable. It’s a light rusty brown shade,” she explained. “Now that my period is more regular, the stained pairs have become my ‘period week underwear.'”
The woman then shared her experience dating a guy who had no problem with period sex but had a major problem with her stained undies. “When we were doing the dirty he got really grossed out when he saw my underwear. I was confused and explained it was an old period blood stain.”
The man proceeded to tell the woman that he found it “unsexy” to see what looked like a “sh*t” stain in her underwear, and asked if she could change into clean underwear next time.
Fortunately for the woman, there was no next time.
“I told him to grow up, and sarcastically apologised that my normal body functions are unsexy to him,” typed the Reddit user. “Plus, I pointed out he saw me pick out that pair of clean underwear from my freshly washed laundry an hour after my shower!”
The Redditor shared that after going in circles on the topic, she finally kicked the man out and texted him that she was not interested in seeing him anymore.
“I blocked his number. I’m too old to deal with someone who thinks blood stains are icky,” she said.
