Fun New Year’s Eve party games and activities

In some families it is a tradition to be home for days like Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year. If your family is one of those families and you are wondering which games you can add to the New Year’s Eve party this year.

Here are some games and activities that you can do suggested by The Spruce:

Balloon pop countdown: According to The Spruce– website that offers home and lifestyle advice, including home décor, cooking and entertainment- you should write a New Year’s resolution or wish on a slip or paper and place it inside a balloon. When it is midnight, you can have your guest’s pop the balloons and read the resolutions out loud.

New Year’s fortune cookies: You can bake the fortune cookies and fill them with messages of good fortune for the following year. The above-mentioned source adds that when everyone has gotten the message. Allow them to read it aloud.

Resolution Bingo: When the year starts, it is a norm for us to make New Year’s resolutions. The Spruce says that you should create bingo cards with everyone’s resolutions and have them tick off what they have achieved.

Here are some games and activities you can play that are convenient for children too:

  • Make a time capsule and fill it with items that represent the past year.
  • Create a photo booth with props and take silly pictures to commemorate the night.
  • Play board games or other group games to keep the party going.
  • Toast to the new year with a glass of champagne or sparkling cider.
