The highly anticipated Good Life Show took place at the CTICC this past weekend (Friday, 31 May – Sunday 2 June. Thousands of visitors, with an interest in food, health, wellness, eco-conscious living, and the environment, were welcomed by passionate exhibitors, expert chefs, culinary experts, enthusiastic speakers, and industry leaders at this ground-breaking show, which was bursting with features, information and entertainment.
Among others, the Good Life Show featured the ‘Woolworths Good Life Kitchen with PlantLove’ where top international and local chefs showcased their cooking skills; the ‘Woolworths Masterclass with PlantLove’ where foodies took part in hands-on, culinary experiences; the ‘Made to Move Fitness Area’ where visitors were given the exciting opportunity to engage in strength and mindfulness activities; the ‘SimplyBiz, powered by Nedbank, Pavilion’ which showcased 60 up and coming businesses; as well as the SA Chefs Association ‘Plant-Based Chef of the Year Competition’ where guests were able to watch an exciting cooking contest unfold live in action. Visitors could also indulge in tasting, sampling, and buying a vast array of household, food, and drink products.
Opening the ceremony on the Friday of the show, City of Cape Town Mayoral Committee Member for Safety & Security, Alderman JP Smith, said: “The Good Life Show captures the very spirit of conscious living, and the City is committed to helping our communities to uplift their economic opportunities as well as their understanding of how to live a good life, which is why we fully support a show such as this.”
