Thabo Bester’s recent court case appearance becomes a trend as TikTok users recreate his rant complaining about not being able to wear his branded clothing.
Back in 2022, Thabo Bester, also known as the Facebook rapist, escaped prison and lived free for about a year before being noticed by internet users last year. After escaping prison, he was later found with his partner, the celebrity doctor Nandipha Magudumana where he was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment for two charges of rape and one murder.
The infamous Facebook rapist has been making headlines after he not only asked the judge for a death sentence but also complained about not being able to wear his designer clothing items during his trial, causing internet users to make skits recreating him ranting in court.
Many TikTok users recreated this video on the app, where they wore a Markham trench coat. In these skits, users were complaining about wearing Markham, suggesting that they have much more expensive clothing brands than Markham. They further joked about the humiliation they faced because of this.

One user commented that after Thabo Bester’s rant, the judge asked him if he was done (adding a laughing emoji).
Another user said: “Bathong Thabo, now Markham is catching strays.”
One TikTok user added that TikTok creator @motions_1 nailed his recreation of Thabo Bester’s speech at the court trial.
