Cape Town’s weather is slightly getting better after the Mother City was hit by a very bad storm that not only led to some school being temporarily closed, but damaged people’s properties and cars.
Reported by the SABC News, the South African Weather Service issued a warning for gale-force winds accompanied by heavy rain in many parts of the province.
While many people opted to stay indoors during the storm, with some companies opting for workers to work from home for safety, transport services and flights were still operating.
A TikTok video shared by user @kayleighdroomer shows passengers holding on to their seats on a flight to Cape Town while it hit severe turbulence. As some held tight to the sits in front of them, some could not help but to scream while the pilot calmly made an announcement over the PA system.
Sharing the video on the above-mentioned app, the user captioned it:
“Some turbulence because of the storm on my flight home to Cape Town.”
