On Monday teens and parents across the country lined up to get their very own bottle or bottles of Prime Hydration.
Prime has become an international viral sensation following its huge successful launch in January 2022 by YouTube sensations Logan Paul and KSI.
The hydration drink was launched on Monday at Checkers sold out in one-and-a-half hours.
The overhyped energy drink caused a huge stir in Mzansi and left many people angered by the prince range once it grew in popularity in South Africa the past month as many young people hunted for any and all bottles, they could get their hands on. Supply was severely constrained, and prices were pushed up as high as R400 or R500, leading to even more buzz.
However, Checkers recently announced that the hydration drink will now be sold at R39.99 at every Checkers store nationwide.
After the release many peeps were left feeling unimpressed with the taste of the hydration drink with many claiming that it leaves a “horrible” after taste.
