In a video posted to TikTok recently, a 16-year-old from Port Alfred moved her vocal coach to tears with her powerful cover of Beyoncé’s Runnin.
Port Alfred pupil Siyolisiwe Futuse is only 16 with a voice that’s destined for stardom.
Likened to the female version of South African soulful singer Lloyiso, Siyolisiwe moved her vocal coach (and the rest of the world) to tears in her emotional cover of Beyoncé’s vocally complex hit, Runnin.
The video, originally posted to TikTok by Siyolisiwe’s vocal coach Zee Dyasi, has since gone viral on social media, garnering over 3 million views worldwide in under a week.
Commenters on the TikTok video praise Siyolisiwe, forecasting that she’s bound for the big stage, encouraging her to enter into singing competitions and create more videos to further pursue her talents.
