Watch: TikTok duo paint village house using soil

Popular TikTok duo under the handle @Fezzy.Fezz are loved by many for their natural and raw content centred around the village life.

The two sisters trended when they posted videos speaking English amusing many users with their disregard of grammar and tense.

While many corrected their grammar, the two continued creating content in English as more of their videos were going viral.

In one of their viral videos, the two young ladies prepare to paint their home kitchen using soil and water.

This is very common in the rural parts of the Eastern Cape as soil and cow dung can be used to paint the walls and floor.

Sharing their “paint” making process, the user said, “In rural areas my dear there’s no need for PVA (paint), we use this (pointing at the soil being dug by someone). We use soil to paint our house, inside and outside my dear. You see now, we take it out, we mine the PVA. You use an old bucket and put your soil inside (this she said while putting it in the bucket).”

Adding water to the soil the user started thinning it using her hand adding, “so we melt it.”

Preparing for the painting job, the duo took out tights and a t-shirt to use as a head scarf in order for it not to get to their hair.

Ready to start the work, the one sister showed the roof that had been darkened by smoke from fire made inside the house, explaining that the smoke had darkened the top parts of their walls as well. Using a piece of the goat’s skin the ladies started the process.
