Why self affirmation is important for you

Are you often consumed by negative thoughts that stop you from being more of yourself?

These negative thoughts are persistent and more frequent than we give notice. When overlooked for a long period of time, these negative thoughts can affect lives at work, relationships, and other important aspects of one’s life.

Those negative thoughts can damage your self esteem and self-confidence.  It’s essentially self-sabotage. And it needs to be stopped.

One of the most effective ways to cope with negative thoughts and overpower them is to fight them with positive thoughts – self affirmation.

Self affirmation is the deliberate practice of repeating positive affirmations, statements, and mantras to bring about positive thoughts at the forefront of our brains. It is something that should be done often as it’s important for our well-being and self-care.

The benefits of affirmations are endless, and have helped millions of people all over the world achieve great things, but more importantly, they can help you make positive changes in your life.

Affirmations have the power to motivate you to act on certain things, help you to concentrate on achieving your goals in life, give you the power to change your negative thinking patterns and replace them with positive thinking patterns, assist you in accessing a new belief system, but above all, affirmations can reaffirm the positivity back into your life and help regain or increase your self-confidence.

For affirmations to truly work, you need to repeat the affirmation daily, and truly believe in the words you are saying. For example “I will not compare myself to others.” It will help to boost your self-confidence and your own self-worth, but you need to believe in that statement and repeat it often at least three to five times a day, it can change your life.
