Arsenal’s Madrid win down to Saka magic

Declan Rice’s brace may have stolen the headlines, but Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Real Madrid was built on Saka’s brilliance, writes DYLAN JOHNSON. 

Writing for Soccermag, Johnson argues that despite not scoring or assisting directly, Saka’s influence was undeniable, setting the tone for Arsenal’s dominant performance.

Rice’s two goals came from dead-ball situations won by Saka, who also encouraged the midfielder to shoot directly, defying coaching instructions. While the collective effort from Arsenal was commendable, Saka’s presence was the key difference. His return, after several months out, reminded everyone of how dangerous Arsenal can be when at full strength, with Saka at the heart of it all.
