The Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens in Roodepoort will play host to eight-time South African Award winning song bird, Lira. After returning to home soil after a successful launch of her EP in America, she will once-again wow crowds with her mesmerising afro-soul sounds.
LIRA is part of a growing movement of young South African artists incorporating the sounds of Soul and RnB with African influence penned in English and African languages. Dubbed Afro Soul, this genre is taking over the South African music scene. Since the release of her second album “Feel Good” in 2006, LIRA has earned herself a place among the youngest and most celebrated artists in Africa.
We are giving away 15 double tickets to see Lira live at the Old Mutual Music In The Gardens festival on the 28th of September 2014.
