Preshalin Naidoo, the driver who caused the accident that killed former Top Billing Presenter Simba Mbhere and his friend Kady-Say O’Bryan was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment yesterday.
Times Live reported that magistrate David Mahango found that Preshalin’s version that his car had mechanical issues that caused the accident were fabricated.
The Magistrate also rejected evidence that it was a missing nut that caused the accident and not speed.

The Magistrate believed it was a befitting sentence that would deter reckless drivers.
Simba died in January 2015 while driving on William Nicol Drive and was about to take the off-ram to OR Tambo airport.
South Africans were devasted by the news of his death and he was commemorated by members of the television industry and celebrities.
In a memorial service held at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Simba was described as a rising star with a bold, out-going personality.
