Women’s month has kicked off with the #TotalShutDown march, led by women, intersectional, and non-gender conforming individuals against violence and abuse against women. The march is taking place across South Africa, and in neighbouring country, Lesotho and Namibia. Local celebs have shown their support for the cause by taking to the streets.
This is the official Twitter account for the planned national shutdown which will be led by WOMEN, INTERSECTIONAL & GENDER NON CONFORMING INDIVIDUALS against femicide, rape and gender based violence at large in Southern Afrika. Botswana and Lesotho are mobilising too! 1st August
