World renowned Ndebele artist Esther Mahlangu received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Johannesburg. The university’s Arts, Design & Architecture faculty recognizes Mama Esther’s legacy as a Cultural Entrepreneur who has skillfully negotiated local and global worlds and played a major role as an educator. The university announced the news on its social media and shared images of the ceremony.
