Women have inspired our innovation, challenged our thinking and are at the centre of everything we do. No stigma around periods should hold them back.
August marks Women’s Month. So, this is a time to reflect on the heritage and meaning of Women’s Day, and appreciate the journey and obstacles women have faced – and overcome.
In remembrance
Women are much more than just figures in the background. They are innovators, pioneers, teachers and mentors, among other things. And, in remembrance of all that South African women have achieved, Kotex has chosen August 2018 to introduce its campaign – Period or Not, She Can.
No more period stigma
The goal of the campaign is “to make sure that a period stigma never holds her back”. This is according to Nthabiseng Motsoeneng, the marketing manager of the feminine care category at Kimberly Clark. And, to further carry out the message that Period or Not, She Can, Kotex has teamed up with inspirational South African women to share their stories and motivational journeys:
- Mapaseka Koetle-Nyokong, actress and businesswoman
- Nolo Seabi, actress and TV presenter
- Olwethu Leshabane, brand South Africa Play Your Part Ambassador and Founder of The Red Wings Project
- Zandi Tisani, film screenwriter and SAFTAs winner
Unstoppable
This Women’s Month, join these remarkable women by standing up for what you believe in, and become unstoppable, too! Like them, don’t let anything stand in the way of your success. Show that Period or Not, You Can with Kotex.
