Sandile Mantsoe has been sentenced to 32 years in prison following being found guilty of premeditated murder of his ex-girlfriend Karabo Mokoena. He was sentenced to 30 years for murder, five years for assault and four years for defeating the ends of justice. Sandile will serve two of the five years for assault along with three of the four years for defeating the end of justice concurrently. All in all, he will serve 32 years behind bars.
Acting Judge Peet Johnson delivered the judgement at the South Gauteng High Court saying in-part “you showed no remorse and maligned the deceased and attacked her father and the deceased’s character. You deserve nothing less than a harsh sentence. Any other sentence won’t serve society”.

#SandileMantsoe In total he is sentenced to 32 years in jail. The charge noted that should be a warning to all man who abuse women. Mokoena’s father is not happy with the sentence, he expected life in prison for murder and 15 years for other offences. Lala ngoxolo Karabo

Skeptical – no cause of death, no physical evidence, no confession? I smell an appeal.
But until then, today we celebrate. #SandileMantsoe #32Years https://t.co/I5ngwAD9Zm

The sentence should have been harsher when looking at how #Karabo was killed nd her body disposed thereof, with no remorse from the killer as well. And with legal jargon, if he satisfies parole conditions he can b out even earlier. #SandileMantsoe#KaraboMokoena
