Our June cover star Leleti Khumalo toured the world with the cast of Sarafina! when it was still a musical, before it was adapted into a film in 1992. Before they knew it, people from all over the world were familiar with not only the songs in the film such as Freedom is Coming Tomorrow, but also the role the youth of 1976 played in the struggle for freedom.
We’re taking you on a walk down memory lane today with a video of the cast of Sarafina! performing at the TONY Awards in 1998.
