Prep time: 60 minutes
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Makes: 12-16 buns
- 6 cups bread flour
- 1 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 sachet instant yeast
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
- In a jug, mix butter (save 2 tablespoons) and water. Slowly add to dry ingredients. Mix well and form soft dough. Knead for 8-10 minutes. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it double it size.
- Knead for another 8-10 minutes. Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll into sausage shape. Place into baking tray. Cover with a kitchen cloth and let it double in size again.
- Brush with remaining melted butter. Bake for 45 minutes or until cooked.
- Serve warm.
