Serves: 3–4
- 6 hake steaks
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely chopped
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 tablespoons harissa paste
- ½ cup (125ml) white wine
- 1 cup (250ml) fish stock
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey
- Salt and pepper
- ½ cup sliced almond nuts
- Couscous, for serving
- Heat oil. Add onion, garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add cinnamon stick, harissa, wine and fish stock. Cook until slightly thickened.
- Add hake steaks, lemon juice and honey. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 4–5 minutes. Sprinkle with sliced almond nuts.
- Serve with couscous.
