Ingredients
- 2kg ham
- 1 star seed
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 thumb size ginger, sliced
- 1 cup soya sauce
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 cups (1ℓ) orange juice
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- ½ cup (125mℓ) oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180˚C.
- In a saucepan, heat star seed, bay leaves, ginger, soya sauce, sugar, orange juice and zest until mixture thickens. Let it set for 8–10 minutes or until fragrant. Then add oil. Mix well.
- Place ham on roasting tray. Brush over the ham with glazing.
- Roast for 2 hours or until cooked through, making sure to glaze every 15 minutes.
- Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before serving.
