This week, Rihanna received an award from the prestigious Harvard University for her philanthropy. The singer who started her first charity organisation at the age 18 was given the Humanitarian Award.

The organisation she founded (in honour of her grandmother), the Clara Lionel Foundation helps to fight against injustice, inequality, poverty and strives to create access to education and health. It has helped to raise much needed financial assistance for communities across the globe.
