Way back in the early 90s, before her roles in Isibaya and Tsotsi, our August cover star shook the nation with her portrayal of umfazi wephepha in the comedic drama, Kwakhala Nyonini. The story centered around the ups and down of a polygamous marriage in modern South Africa.

Her character was by far a favourite for scores of people in the country. Loud, opinionated, fashion forward and money oriented.

We’re taking you on a walk down memory lane today with a few clips of the popular drama.

Enjoy!
