Hailing from Nongoma in KwaZulu-Natal, Zandile Ngwenya has worked hard to be a catering expert. She has enjoyed cooking from a young age, but never thought she could make it as a caterer.
At the age of 26, she decided to take her hobby serious. She has a full-time job, so she runs her business on weekends and holidays. She shares her love for food and her business with us.

1.What kind of functions do you cater for?
I cook for any corporate event, including parties, funerals and wedding. I also do cooking classes for stokvels and team buildings.
2. How long you have been running your business?
I’ve been doing this for nine years. I used my savings to buy all the equipment I needed. I started catering for small functions and then grew enough to be able to cook at weddings and funerals.
3. What inspires you?
The love for food; I do not have any qualification, but I taught myself everything. I am very creative. I come up with my own recipes from scratch.
4. Which cuisine do you enjoy cooking?
I love Nigerian and Ghanaian food.
5. Where are you based?
For now, I am based in Ulundi in KZN, but I am not limiting myself. I am able to go to any part of the country.
