Introducing the video, Dominic says, “When you are in an interview, it is so important you let the person who is interviewing you feel like if they chose you as the candidate to work for their company within their function, you will be able to deliver everything on that job spec and more. You need to make them feel as if you can do that job and that they can visualize you in that position.”
To achieve the above-mentioned goal, he further advises that this is what should be done:
- Use ‘for example’ to clarify your method, process, and outcome.: “When you are speaking, always use the word example. So when you are speaking about your experience, you always say: for example, I am this and I have worked on this, and it led to me and my team achieving this goal.”
- Make sure to highlight the experience gained while working towards specific objectives.
- Mention initiative: “People like to know that you’re an employer that goes over and beyond. So by going over and beyond and using your initiative, you need to talk about examples where you have used your initiative to help your company or team.”
